Mark and Ruth Anna Dana, First Nations, New Brunswick

Mark and Ruth Anna Dana, First Nations, New Brunswick

Mark and Ruth Anna Dana, First Nations, New Brunswick

Mark and Ruth Anna Dana have served in ministry for over 40 years, sharing the love of Jesus with Indigenous communities through prison visits, camps, and workshops. After many years at Camp Kwayakotage in Quebec, they now serve in an advisory role - writing lessons, helping set up tents, and more - as their daughter and son-in-law lead the ministry. They are currently based in New Brunswick.

Mark is a part-time prison chaplain and connects with the nearby Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) community. Ruth Anna prepared the summer camp lessons. Recently, they’ve helped organize First Nations marriage and family support workshops.

Mark and Ruth Anna Dana, First Nations, New Brunswick

Jeanelle is married to Murrell who grew up in Greenfield Park and attended our church with his family.  They have served as a teacher in Christian schools in South Korea, Japan, and now in Nairobi, Kenya as part of International Christian Schools, U.S.  Jeanelle teaches  upper-level English, coordinates chapel worship teams, and leads a women’s Bible study. Next year, she will take on expanded leadership responsibilities as high school lead teacher .

Our church was blessed with the messages Murrell brought to us via Zoom during the time of our search for a new pastor.  They have opportunities to facilitate in-person healing groups through their church in Kenya.

Mark and Ruth Anna Dana, First Nations, New Brunswick

Nhep Pech, FEB International, Cambodia

Teddy and Linda Hoare have served as missionaries in Quebec for over 25 years. Their passion for introducing and connecting people to the God who loves them remains strong. Their outreach ministry, called “Connections,” focuses on building relationships and demonstrating the love of Christ.

Through Connections, they reach out to troubled teens and their families, youth facing unplanned pregnancies or legal issues, and individuals who feel isolated or overlooked. Whatever the struggle, Teddy and Linda come alongside in a non-judgmental way, offering compassion and the transforming hope of Jesus and trusting God to bring healing and restoration.

Nhep Pech, FEB International, Cambodia

Nhep Pech, FEB International, Cambodia

Nhep has a deep passion for Christ. As a survivor of Cambodia's “killing fields” under the regime of Pol Pot in the 1970s, her love and care for the people of her Cambodian homeland is at the center of her ministry. She uses her skills as a dentist to train students and to provide dental care to those living in rural Cambodia on behalf of the FAIR (Fellowship Aid and International Relief) mobile dental clinic.

Although her ministry focus is medical in nature, she continually use every opportunity to share the love of Christ with her patients and the students that assist her during the clinics. Many have prayed to accept Christ and several churches have been established because of her ministry.

Nhep's husband, Oeut, who faithfully and diligently worked alongside Nhep in her dental ministry in Cambodia, passed away in early 2022.

Shu Yin Wong, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Quebec

Rev. Tim Whitehead has led Galcom International for the past 16 years. Compassion Canada

Compassion Canada

Over 2 million children in 25 impoverished countries are being given Jesus' hope for a better future through individual sponsorship.  Children take part in a program in their community which is linked with the local church.  The benefit is evident.  Those children in the program are more likely to finish high-school, get a good job and be active in their church.  Sponsors are invited to correspond with their child.  Sometimes a visit can be arranged.
